Manual shears
Clean, burr-free cuts in light sheet — without an air supply, a foundation or a power bill. Manual guillotines for repeated straight cuts, hand shears for on-the-fly trimming, foot pedal shearers when you want both hands on the sheet.
Enhanced manual guillotine
The Enhanced Manual Guillotine combines ergonomic design, precision engineering and user safety — tailored for workshops, manufacturing units and metal fabrication industries, it optimises manual operation while integrating modern enhancements for high-throughput environments.
Core design philosophy
- Human-centric ergonomics: reinforced lever system with adjustable torque control lets operators apply cutting force efficiently while minimising fatigue; the handle is coated with anti-slip material for stability during prolonged use
- Modular blade system: quick-release blade mechanism allows rapid replacement of cutting edges without disassembling the frame; blades are tungsten carbide alloy hardened to 62–64 HRC, ensuring longevity and resistance to deformation under high stress
- Enhanced safety protocols: dual-layer safety mechanism — magnetic locking that automatically engages when the blade is not in use, and an emergency stop lever within immediate reach that halts blade movement within 0.2 seconds
Hand shears — 5" to 12"
Hand shears are foundational tools in metal fabrication, offering precision, portability and adaptability for cutting sheet metal, plastics and composites. They are categorised by blade design and cutting action:
- Straight-cut (universal) shears: blades cut in a straight line — ideal for general-purpose trimming
- Left-cut shears: curved blades designed to cut leftward curves without distorting material
- Right-cut shears: mirror left-cut shears for rightward curves
Selecting the right hand shear is a cut-geometry decision first and a size decision second — the wrong cut mode fights the operator on every curve.
Foot pedal metal shearer
A foot pedal metal shearer is a mechanical cutting machine operated by a foot pedal, leaving the operator’s hands free to position and secure the workpiece. It cuts sheet metal, rods and profiles with clean, burr-free edges.
- Ergonomic operation: reduces strain on hands and arms over a full shift
- Safety: minimises hand contact with the blade during cutting
- Versatility: cuts a wide range of materials, from thin aluminium to thicker steel
- Throughput: the right choice for high-volume or repetitive cutting tasks at light gauge
Applications
- HVAC: trimming duct blanks and fittings to size
- Automotive: on-the-fly trimming of panels, brackets and shields
- Construction: cutting sheet, bars and profiles on site
- Custom fabrication: the trim station beside the brake
