CE certificate & EU Declaration of Conformity

Our sheet metal fabrication machines carry CE marking under the EU Machinery Directive. Here is the exact scope, the certificate numbers, and the standards behind it — stated plainly, so you can verify every line before you commit to an order.

The certificate

Certificate No.CTG250510556B_SC347AQ
Test report No.CTG250510556B_SR347AQ (type test)
Issued10 May 2025
Issuing laboratoryShenzhen CTG Testing Co., Ltd
DirectiveMachinery Directive 2006/42/EC
Standards appliedEN 60204-1:2018 · EN ISO 12100:2010
ProductSheet metal fabrication machine

Additional modelsMD11 · KECMT30 · KECMT100 · KECMT200 · KECMT300
ManufacturerKEC MACHINE TOOL CO., LTD, East industrial zone, Bowang, Ma’anshan, Anhui, China

The WC67K is our torsion-bar CNC press brake series — the same platform described on theWC67K torsion bar press brake page. If the model you are quoting falls outside the list above, ask us: we will tell you honestly whether a certificate covers it or whether the machine ships without CE marking.

The EU Declaration of Conformity

The Declaration of Conformity is issued under the sole responsibility of the manufacturer and was signed on 12 May 2025 by Roger Chen, general manager of KEC MACHINE TOOL CO., LTD. It declares conformity with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, applying EN 60204-1:2018 and EN ISO 12100:2010, for the models listed above.

The signed EU Declaration of Conformity, stamped by KEC MACHINE TOOL CO., LTD. A copy travels with the machine documents on every EU order.

Authorized representative in the EU

For machines shipped into the European Union, our authorized representative under Article 11 of the Machinery Directive is:

CompanyAxitera GmbH
AddressKreuznacher Str. 30, D-60486 Frankfurt am Main, Hessen, Germany
RoleEC REP — liaison with EU market surveillance authorities

The EC REP identification appears on the machine labelling and the accompanying documents, as required for EU-placed machinery.

What the standards mean in practice

EN 60204-1:2018 is the standard for the electrical equipment of machines. The type test against it covers the supply circuit design, protective bonding continuity, door locking on enclosures, the emergency stop chain, and the behaviour of control circuits under fault conditions. When a European inspector opens your cabinet, this is the standard he will hold the wiring against.

EN ISO 12100:2010 is the risk assessment methodology for machinery — hazard identification, risk estimation and risk reduction across the machine lifecycle. It is the document trail behind decisions like two-hand control positions, light curtain integration and the rear safety zone on a press brake.

Together with the Machinery Directive, these make up the CE file. If your inspector or customs authority asks for it, the file exists and can be referenced by the certificate number above.

What this certificate does not claim

Three things we will not overstate, because buyers have been burned before:

  • The certificate applies to the tested models listed on it. We do not present it as covering every machine family we build — lasers, rollers and punches are separate products and we will tell you plainly what documentation each one ships with.
  • A Certificate of Compliance from a testing laboratory is not the same as certification by a Notified Body. The certificate states this limitation itself. If your tender specifically requires a Notified Body certificate, tell us before you order and we will confirm what we can provide.
  • CE marking declares conformity at the point of placement on the EU market. It is not a quality award, and we do not treat it as one. Installation, guarding and operator training on your side remain part of making a machine safe in your workshop.

How to verify before you order

  1. Ask us for the certificate copy and the test report number with your quotation — we send both.
  2. Check that the model on your order sheet appears on the certificate’s model list.
  3. Check the nameplate on the machine at pre-shipment inspection: it carries the CE mark, the manufacturer and the model.
  4. Confirm the machine documents include the EU Declaration of Conformity and the EC REP identification.

Frequently asked

Which KECMT machines are covered by the CE certificate?

Certificate CTG250510556B_SC347AQ covers the WC67K series CNC press brake as the main test model, with MD11, KECMT30, KECMT100, KECMT200 and KECMT300 listed as additional models. The certificate applies to the tested models listed on it — we do not extend CE claims to machine families that were not tested.

Can I get a copy of the certificate before ordering?

Yes. Ask and we will send a copy of the certificate and the test report reference with your quotation. The certificate number is CTG250510556B_SC347AQ and the associated test report is CTG250510556B_SR347AQ, both verifiable with the issuing laboratory.

Who is your authorized representative in the European Union?

Axitera GmbH, Kreuznacher Str. 30, D-60486 Frankfurt am Main, Hessen, Germany. The EC REP identification is applied to the product labelling and accompanying documents for machines shipped into the EU.

What do the applied standards actually cover?

EN 60204-1:2018 governs the electrical equipment of the machine — supply circuits, protective bonding, enclosure locking, emergency stop and control reliability. EN ISO 12100:2010 is the risk assessment methodology for machinery. Together with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC they form the CE file for a press brake.

Need the certificate with your quote?

Ask for the CE file together with your quotation — certificate copy, test report number and DoC, no follow-up chase required.
