Factory tour: inside the KECMT works

Buyers rarely see the factory they are buying from. This is ours: the fabrication shop where frames are welded, the machining area where beds are milled, assembly, the test floor, and packing — laid out in the order material flows through it.

The floor, in the order material flows

 • Steel fabrication and welding: frames and beds are cut, fitted and welded in-house. Frame rigidity starts here, and it is the one thing that cannot be corrected downstream.
 • Stress relief: welded frames are stress-relieved before machining, so the geometry cut today stays cut after months of loaded bending.
 • Machining: beds, ram guideways and clamping surfaces are milled to tolerance. The tooling clamps against these surfaces, so their finish is a bend-quality question, not a cosmetic one.
 • Assembly: hydraulics, cylinders, backgauge and electrical systems are installed on the machined frame.
 • Tooling and clamping: the machine is set up for its clamping standard and the ordered tooling is fitted and checked.
 • Test floor: the loaded test bends and the full inspection sequence described on the quality control page.
 • Packing: machines are crated for export — see the shipping and packaging page for how.

Why the layout matters to a buyer

A machine that moves between departments accumulates handling, waiting and re-work. Keeping fabrication, machining, assembly and testing in one flow is how a 270-machine-a-year factory holds a consistent process — and why the inspection record on the quality control page is a sequence, not a single final check.

Visiting

Visits need advance notice so the right machine is accessible and someone who can answer technical questions is on the floor. Combine the visit with a trial bend on your own material — it is the most informative hour available to a buyer, and it costs nothing but the scheduling. If travel is not practical, ask for the video report of your serial number; it is part of the documentation pack either way.

What we cannot show you

Other customers’ machines in build, and their documentation — that is their business, not ours. What we can show is the process, the floor, and your own machine at every stage.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the factory?

Bowang district of Ma'anshan, Anhui province — the cluster town for Chinese sheet metal machinery. The facility covers about 12,000 m² and builds roughly 270 machines a year.

Can I visit in person?

Yes. Visits are welcome with advance notice — email [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange it. If you cannot travel, we will send a video walkthrough of your specific machine instead.

What will I see if I visit?

The whole flow: steel fabrication and welding, stress relief, machining of beds and guideways, hydraulic and electrical assembly, the test floor where loaded test bends run, and the packing area. If your machine is in build, you will see it at its actual stage.

How long does a visit take?

Half a day covers the floor properly, including the test area. Buyers combining a visit with a trial bend on their own material should plan a full day.

Can I run a test bend on my own material?

Yes — for serious enquiries we run trial bends on customer material on the test floor. It is the most useful hour of any factory visit, because it answers the question no spec sheet can.

Is Ma'anshan a good place to buy machinery?

It is the concentration of Chinese sheet metal machinery manufacturing, which cuts both ways: deep supplier and tooling depth, and a wide quality range. Visiting — or at least seeing your specific serial number on video — is how you tell the range apart.

Arrange a factory visit

Tell us when you are in China and which machine you want to see. We will arrange the floor, the engineers and a trial bend on your material.
