Service & support
A machine is half the purchase; the other half is everything that happens around it. This page sets out exactly what that looks like with KECMT — from the day the order is confirmed to the day a wear part needs replacing — stated plainly so you can hold us to it.
Before the machine ships
- Specification sign-off. The configuration — tonnage, bed length, throat, control, tooling, backgauge — is confirmed in writing against your part before production. Changes are cheap here and expensive later.
- Pre-shipment testing. Every machine runs and is verified before it leaves the floor: stroke, pressure, angle repeatability and backgauge positioning against the build sheet.
- Documentation pack. Electrical diagrams, hydraulic schematics, the operating manual, the CE certificate where the model is covered, foundation and anchor details, and the tooling list with part numbers.
- Packing for the journey. Plywood export crating, sealed and preserved, sized for sea freight and local truck delivery to your door.
Delivery and installation
The full preparation checklist — power, floor loading, lifting, door widths, acceptance testing — lives in the delivery and installation guide, written for the person who has to plan the dock and the electrician. The short version: the machine arrives sealed on plywood, needs a level floor of adequate loading capacity, a power supply matched to the electrical specification, and lifting gear rated for the shipping weight.
Commissioning is run over video for most installations — connection checks, first bends, backgauge calibration, angle verification against your actual material. On-site technicians are available where you want them; that is agreed at quotation stage so it is planned, not improvised.
Training
- Operators: control operation, tooling changes, bending technique on your parts, safe operation and daily checks.
- Maintenance: hydraulic system care, lubrication schedule, filter and seal intervals, and the checks that catch problems before they stop production.
- Programming: part programs, angle correction and backgauge setup on CNC machines, recorded for your crew to revisit.
Training runs on your material and your parts during commissioning — a demo on sample stock teaches your crew nothing about their own springback problems. The 110-ton press brake we commissioned in April 2025 is a typical example: machine and matching shear installed, proved and handed over with the crew trained on their own production parts.
Spare parts and tooling
Parts queries are answered from the machine's build record, which is why the model and serial number matter in every message. Common wear items — seals, valves, filters, tooling — are stocked; longer-lead components are sourced against the documented specification. Tooling queries, including clamping-system compatibility and custom punch and die profiles, go through the same channel — custom tooling drawings come back with quotations within three working days.
Upgrades and retrofit
Machines age, controls age faster. Our retrofit and upgrade work covers NC-to-CNC conversion, backgauge upgrades, tooling changes and control replacements — and the used-versus-new guide exists because sometimes the honest recommendation is neither. We quote other makes case by case after seeing the machine.
What we do not claim
We are a manufacturer in Ma'anshan, China, working China Standard Time (UTC+8) — not a network of regional service depots. We do not claim 24-hour on-site response anywhere in the world, and any supplier who does is worth questioning. What we do commit to: machines built to a documented specification, pre-shipment testing, a complete documentation pack, video commissioning, training on your parts, and parts answered from the build record. For time-critical installations, on-site technician visits are quoted as a line item, agreed in advance.
Frequently asked questions
How is the machine packed for export?
Plywood export crating designed for sea freight and road delivery to door, with the machine sealed and preserved against salt air. Lifting points, foundation and anchor details come with the machine so your rigger can plan before the container arrives.
Can you commission the machine remotely?
Yes, for most installations. The machine ships pre-tested, and we run commissioning over video — connection checks, first bends, backgauge calibration, angle verification against your material. Where a customer wants a technician on site, we arrange it; say so at quotation stage and it goes in the plan from the start.
What training comes with the machine?
Operator training on control, tooling changes, safe operation and daily checks, plus maintenance training on hydraulics and lubrication. It runs during commissioning, on your material and your parts — not a generic demo. Recorded sessions stay with your crew for new operators later.
How do I get spare parts?
Write to [email protected] with the machine model and serial number. Common wear items — seals, valves, tooling — we keep in stock; electrical and hydraulic components we source against the serial. Because the machine was built to a documented specification, parts queries are answered from the build record, not guesswork.
Can you upgrade a machine you did not build?
Partly. Our retrofit work covers NC-to-CNC conversion, backgauge upgrades and tooling changes on our own machines, and we quote other makes case by case after seeing the machine. If the honest answer is that a retrofit does not make economic sense, we will say so — the used-versus-new guide lays out that comparison framework.
Ask the question before you order
Installation, training, parts or retrofit — ask now and the answer goes into the plan and the quote, not into a surprise later.
