Press brake operator and maintenance training

A press brake is only as good as the person running it. These pages cover the two training tracks KECMT supports: getting a new operator safe and productive, and keeping the machine serviced in-house.

A press brake is only as good as the person running it. The pages here cover the two training tracks KECMT supports: getting a new operator safe and productive, and keeping the machine serviced in-house so small faults do not become downtime. Both are written as practical curricula you can adapt, not as a substitute for hands-on instruction on your actual machine.

Both tracks are available as on-site or remote sessions for KECMT customers — seeservice and support for how to schedule them against a delivery or a service visit.

Questions we get asked

Do you offer operator training with a machine?

Yes. KECMT offers operator and maintenance training, on-site at commissioning or remotely, for customers. The operator track covers safety, controls, setup, first-article approval and basic fault response; the maintenance track covers the in-house service schedule.

How long does operator training take?

A competent operator on a given machine is typically reached in a few days of structured practice rather than hours, because safe setup and first-article discipline take repetition. The training page lists the curriculum so you can plan the time around a commissioning visit.

Can our own technician do the maintenance?

Most daily and weekly checks and lubrication should be done by your own team, and the maintenance training track is built to enable that. Deeper hydraulic or electrical work is best scheduled with KECMT service, both for safety and to protect the warranty.
